Womb Over Tomb
The Goal
“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense (Greek, apologia) to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear” (I Peter 3:15).
apología (apó, "from" and lógos, "intelligent reasoning") – properly, a well-reasoned reply; a thought-out response to adequately address the issue(s) that is raised.
To argue or debate is not the goal. Why? Because it is possible to win the argument, while at the same time, lose the soul. But rather, as Christian influencers, it needs to be our gracious focus to give well-reasoned replies to those who ask about our faith in Jesus. Therefore, use these narratives to best share the heart behind your Overwear.
The Know
1.) The cross of Christ proves God is pro-life. You see, by the choice of His sacrifice, He purchased all of our bodies at a priceless price. Therefore, no one has the right to abort that which God has born.
2.) Pro-life isn’t a political platform, but recognizing that God knows us before we were formed. And since He sanctifies life before the womb, we need to protect every life within the womb. “Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you. Before you were born, I sanctified you…” (Jeremiah 1:5).
3.) The first person to “leap for joy” and recognize Jesus as Lord was actually a baby unborn. “As soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy” (Luke 1:44).
